Any sport, anywhere, anytime — right from your mobile device.
A 2017 innovation exercise that mapped a sports-streaming market a year before FuboTV proved it. Live and reimagined here for 2026 — push the buttons above.
Four feeds, one set of speakers — which game gets the audio? Stream Sports' answer is tap the feed you want to hear. The selected feed gets a glowing white indicator and audio follows. No nested menus, no settings panel.
Try it — tap any feed to move the audio
Stream Sports came out of Spectrum's first formal innovation experiment — three other designers and I given Friday afternoons off the production floor for six weeks to take a hypothesis from sketch to working concept.
We didn't ship it. About a year later, sports-first streaming platforms entered the market and proved the demand we'd already mapped — FuboTV reached a $500M+ market cap. The thesis was right. The product wasn't built. But Spectrum adopted the cadence as a 90:10 model across the design org, and protected innovation time became the experiment that actually mattered.
No product shipped. But the org started shipping ideas on protected time — and a year later, the market we'd mapped was a $500M reality. The 2026 redesign on this page is a love letter to the version that should have been built.
