Connectivity is the message, the site needs to act like it

Charter Communications operates as Spectrum — a connectivity company at scale. The corporate site is where investors, regulators, journalists, and current employees come for a single source of truth on what the company is doing and why. Before the redesign, that site was telling several different stories at once.

Spectrum's role as a connectivity leader had to come through clearly while making critical information easy to find for radically different audiences.

What I owned

Lead Product Designer. I led the UX strategy and end-to-end design process, partnering with stakeholders across communications, investor relations, HR, legal, and executive leadership.

Six audiences, one definition of success

We began with stakeholder interviews to understand both business priorities and internal pain points. Teams across the organization relied on the site to communicate with different external audiences — and there was no shared definition of success.

Through interviews and workshops, we surfaced what was actually wrong:

  • Content priorities differed significantly across departments
  • Navigation didn't reflect how users actually searched for information
  • Important initiatives were buried or difficult to discover
  • The brand story lacked clarity and consistency
  • Stakeholders needed a flexible system that could evolve over time
  • Visual consistency aligned with Spectrum's brand was nonexistent

Concepts were reviewed iteratively with stakeholders, allowing us to validate direction early and reduce downstream revisions.

A modular layout that tells one story

The final design centers on a clean, modular layout that highlights Spectrum's core message — connectivity — while enabling quick access to detailed information.

Key features:

  • A prominent hero section communicating the company's purpose
  • Structured content tiers that support both quick scanning and deeper exploration
  • Reusable modules for news, initiatives, and announcements
  • Visual cues that guide users through complex information
  • A flexible foundation designed to scale with future needs
[ 05 ] Outcome

Designed in 2018 — still live in 2026 at corporate.charter.com. The redesign provided a cohesive, modern experience that aligns internal teams around a shared narrative while making information more accessible to external audiences.
